FAQ

  • How long have you been a photographer?

I’ve had a camera in my hand ever since I can remember. I was always doing photoshoots with my family and pets, and when I got into my teens I started getting hired to photograph portraits, family shoots, small weddings and all my friend’s bar/bat mitzvahs. It has snow balled since then, and I’ve been working as a professional photographer for about 13 years now.

  • Where are you based?

I live between California and Hawaii.

  • How many images do you include?

I always deliver a ton of photos. I am a happy snapper and like to capture as much as I can. The actual amount depends on the shoot, how many hours, models, locations, etc…usually between 200-600 photos depending on the shoot.

I also don’t charge for a certain amount of photos and additional images like you may see other photographers do.

  • What is your turn around time?

This depends on the project, how much I shoot, my travel/editing schedule, and the holidays…but for most shoots the turn around is 3 weeks or less. I try to get your photos to you as soon as possible while also giving them the editing/creative time they need to be the best they can be.

  • Do you give raw unedited photos?

So much of the magic comes in post and I consider the raw images only half finished, so for this reason I don’t release the raw files.

  • Can you photoshop me to make me look “better”?

Other than temporary blemishes like a pimple, bruise, or scrape…I don’t photoshop clients to “look better”. I think you already look rad the way you are, and I don’t want to perpetuate the toxic world of photoshop that fuels unrealistic beauty standards. Messy, raw and wild is what I love.

  • What do I wear for photos?

Don’t stress, I’m here to help guide you during the planning phase of our shoot!

  • Do you work with a make up artist for shoots?

If this is something you are interested in, I can definitely recommend artists for the job!

  • What if I need to cancel/reschedule our shoot?

If you reschedule at least two weeks in advance of our shoot date, you can keep your deposit and select a new shoot date. You can reschedule up to three times before a new deposit will have to be made.

If you reschedule less than two weeks in advance the deposit is legally non-refundable and a new deposit will have to be made to schedule the new shoot date.

  • What if there is bad weather?

I always love embracing whatever weather comes our way…but if the weather makes it dangerous to shoot and I can reschedule, then we will!

  • Do you photograph weddings?

Are you eloping on a mountainside? Having an intimate wedding of just your best friend and parents? Sharing vows on a coastal cliffside? Then YES I would love to photograph your elopement or intimate wedding.

I do not photograph large weddings, but can recommend people who do!

Reach out and let me know your needs/size of your event and I can let you know if we will be a good fit.

  • Do you offer discounts?

    No, my prices are firm.
